Siege and Storm

Siege and Storm - Leigh Bardugo, Lauren Fortgang So good! What else is there to say? There was nothing I didn't like about this book except that it ended at a spot that's going to drive me crazy until I can read the next book. I kind of think I know where parts of the story are going but I can't be sure. The author pulled a couple of twists and turns I didn't see coming in this one.

I've tagged these as fantasy and paranormal-romance for my shelves but the romance is probably more like the secondary plot of this series. I just love the setting and the political machinations that are going on. For some reason I am reminded of David Eddings books but I can't put my finger on what I find similar. Maybe it's less about writing style and subject matter and more of story construction? Whatever it is, I think this series is posed to take a place on my favorites shelf.
